Year 9 Day 5

"Texas, the only place where you can see the farthest distance and still see nothing." Yep, pretty much. So how does one squeeze in Texas, all of it, without driving for days and seeing nothing? Well, you see Texas the musical. Covers it all. Cowboys, Indians, gun fights, thunder and lightning storms complete with a strike to a nearby tree, horses, and a salute to America. We can put a big check mark on giant Texas now.

Day 5 wasnt as eventful as others, but it ended with a bang. We started out visiting the blue hole in Santa Rosa, NM. Thats pretty much what it is. A big hole in the middle of the desert thats full of water. Somewhere around 130 feet under ground there is a lake. It pushes up 3000 gallons a minute of 62 degree water. People come here from all over to scuba dive and of course swim. It proved good entertainment for a little bit, but then we pushed on to Texas.

The musical was filled with action, and everything Texas including a fireworks show at the end. A good time was had by all. Storms are starting to move in today. Its time to get the heck back to Cali. We will attempt to see Oklahoma and Kansas today to make it official. Then back to New Mexico toward the airport and home.

Until Then.
